this is work from a series of 3 exhibitions i've done in the last couple of months. it all started with the musician series and it built up from there. thanks to enrico for taking decent photos of my work, which i have here resized for your viewing convenience.

two very similar wedding gifts. i evidently haven't got the little houses out of my system.

a big canvas, a film, a musician, a lot of videos.

this is a pretty big painting i did last year, commissioned for the set of a film that should come out here in italy at some point, nobody seems to know when. both film and painting feature friend and musician roberto angelini, who, i take the occasion to add, is playing here this weekend. i mention this because it will be the first time that the tremendous collection of music videos made over the past 5 years by the different artists of via bertani will be officially shown to the public. i don't like advertising but it really is an amazing body of work. check it out if you're in town.

questo e' un quadro che feci un anno fa come commissione per la scenografia di un film che dovrebbe uscire prima o poi, nessuno sa bene quando. in entrambi film e quadro appare l'amico e musicista roberto angelini. colgo l'occasione per dire che questo sabato suonera' qui. e' un evento importante perche' sara' la prima volta che verranno proiettati al pubblico i numerosi video fatti negli ultimi 5 anni dagli artisti di via bertani. non amo pubblicizzare eventi, ma sono veramente delle opere che meritano. chi e' nei paraggi venga!

hikmet and oilbars

immagini dal corso di illustrazione con oilbar quest'anno con alessandro ferraro nella scuola d'illustrazione officina b5. gli studenti hanno interpretato vari aspetti di una poesia di nazim hikmet. io mi sono auto-dichiarata special guest dopo l'invito di alessandro (grazie!). foto di enrico natoli.
e' stata la prima volta con gli oilbar, divertenti e frustranti, diretti e molto roots, aiutano a sciogliere alcune rigidita' tecniche della pittura.
